Holy crap! All of the hate on Daniel Arnold for selling his photos. I think you guys are more pissed that he was able to do something you didn’t.
For crying out loud, you guys call yourself artists and don’t get that all art is conceptual? If someone is willing to shell out $150 for 4×6 photo, good for them. They bought something they like. Something is only as valuable as what someone is willing to pay for it, in this case, this guy got 100 people to pay for his photos and you got, what?
I think you need to re-listen to the episode. We weren’t hating on him being able to sell his photos. I was arguing that the whole thing smells a little fishy to me. If anybody can sell their photos for a premium be my guest, but I have a hard time believing that this will be a trend.
No, you weren’t hating on him being able to sell his photos. You were hating on his style, his subject matter, etc. Not one comment was made on it being a trend, you were too busy complaining about whether or not there was any value to his photos, or 4×6 photos in general.
Just listened to the newest episode… I understand the desire for wanting communication on the topic, and I didn’t state it earlier, I agree with about 90% of what you said about his art/style.
And P.S.– entertaining dicks indeed.
Lol! Well we try. 😉
Thanks for keeping us on our toes.
